Day 2, 3, 4

Baltimore

Your hotel, located on the waterfront of Inner Harbor, ensures you are right in the heart of all the action as well as being afforded incredible views. The seven mile brick-paved waterfront promenade is bustling with activities. Make sure you visit the National Aquarium, The American Visionary Art Museum, The Maryland Science Center, Port Discovery Children’s Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not and The Baltimore Museum of Industry. You should also make use of Baltimore’s water taxis to discover other neighbourhoods – including quaint Fells Point and Captain James Landing. To get you started on your Baltimore adventure, we have also included three incredible sightseeing tours:

Fells Point Food Tour this tour guides you through the historic district, visiting family-run restaurants and sampling specially made dishes including Polish, Baltimore-style pit beef and Spanish tapas.

Historical Sightseeing Tour a small-group guided tour takes the guesswork out of your trip. Your guide will take you to see several different neighbourhoods and explain Baltimore’s rich history and culture, so that you have a fuller understanding of the city.

Heritage Region Wine Tour – get out of the city and spend a day in the Maryland countryside with this small-group tour of the Heritage wine region. Visit popular vineyards such as Great Frogs, Thanksgiving Farms and Friday’s Creek while exploring one of the most historic areas of the country. Please note that this tour commences in Barrie which is a 30 minute drive from the city.

Day 5, 6, 7

Cambridge, Maryland

80mi / 129km

It is a short but wonderfully scenic drive to Maryland’s Chesapeak region. This authentic, historic waterfront community, rich in colonial heritage and maritime traditions features a brick-paved street for strolling through the historic district to parks, a marina, museums, and a lighthouse on the water. The downtown has a variety of unique boutiques, galleries, entertainment venues, and studios in the shopping and arts districts. Fabulous dining ranges from casual Chesapeake Bay, Italian, Irish, and French cuisine to a wood-fired eatery. The waterfront cafes are perfect on a sunny day or at sunset. Whilst in Cambridge, we recommend visiting the Dorchester County Visitor Centre, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Centre and Blackwater National Refuge Centre but ensure you save plenty of time to relax at your resort hotel. It offers pools, waterslides and more adventurous water activities such as kayaking.
