Black Rapids
Black Rapids is a unique and remote location, characterised by its rugged natural beauty and extreme weather, making it an intriguing location for those interested in Alaska’s wilderness and outdoor adventures. It is situated along the Richardson Highway, which is the first major road built in Alaska and connects Valdez to Fairbanks.
Black Rapids is located in the Alaska Range, near the Delta River with its nearest community being Delta Junction. The area is known for its rugged terrain, including mountains, glaciers, and rivers. One of the most notable features nearby is the Black Rapids Glacier.
