Experience what the park has to offer by hiking one of the numerous trails, taking a ranger-guided swampwalk or canoe or kayak tour, strolling the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk or enjoying a leisurely trip down the 11-mile stretch of Jane’s Scenic Drive.
Fakahatchee Strand is the major drainage slough of southwestern Big Cypress Swamp. The forests of bald cypresses are as impressive as any in the state. It also contains the largest stand of native royal palms and the largest concentration and variety of epiphytic orchids in North America.
