Although there have been Athabaskan settlements around Tōk for centuries, Tōk itself did not exist until 1942 when a camp was built to support the construction of the Alaska Highway. Today, this small hamlet with its highways leading north, south, east and west, offers access to Alaska’s interior, the Gold Fields, back country and scenic rivers. Fox ‘n Fireweed is located downtown, with access to the towns facilities.

Fox ‘n Fireweed was opened in 1990 and features a mix of individual cabins, each with private facilities. The Fireweed Cabin is the perfect choice for a family or two couples travelling together. This cabin has two queen beds and a private bathroom, plus a kitchenette offering a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The Trapper’s Cabin is the largest cabin. This cabin has a private bathroom, two separate bedrooms with two queen beds, one single bed and a sofa sleeper. The living room offers a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Four other cabins, plus four basic guestrooms in the Main Lodge complete the accommodation options. All cabins come with fresh linens and towels and displays local artwork.
