Gros Morne National Park Sightseeing
Gros Morne & Western Newfoundland
NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR HOLIDAYS
Enjoy a two hour cruise on scenic Bonne Bay which is actually two connected fjords. The longer of the two is the South Arm, which runs more or less straight for 18 km out to the mouth of the bay. The East Arm is joined to the South Arm across a shallow sill, known as The Tickle and is by far the deeper of the two fjords. The tour passes over waters as deep as anywhere in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, reaching depths of 230 m (756 feet).
Highlights such as Gros Morne Mountain, the geology of the Tablelands, the whales that frequent the deep waters of this fjord and bird sightings especially bald eagles. A brief history of the small villages nestled on the shores is also provided.
