Jasper re-opens

Jasper is reporting that it is now open for business and safe to visit, following the power issues caused by recent forest fires.

The Municipality of Jasper issued the following statement:

“We are happy to report that ATCO was successful in switching Jasper from the temporary generator system to the transmission line. Jasper now has sufficient, stable and reliable power, and we are able and eager to safely welcome visitors back to the community. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

While we encourage visitors who graciously postponed their trip to rebook again soon, we request that they be patient as business operations are scaled back to full capacity and tours are rerouted back to Jasper. Most importantly, we thank visitors for their understanding and look forward to safely welcoming them back soon.

We want to specifically thank and acknowledge all our trade partners for their incredible flexibility and understanding throughout this situation—many of you rerouted trains, planes and automobiles to accommodate the situation, and we greatly appreciate that. We value your business and the lengths you have gone to support our community during yet another challenging crisis. First Class	A dependable and comfortable hotel with standardised rooms. These are the ideal choice for travellers who don not require deluxe facilities or special services.
Moderate First Class	Essentially a First Class hotel with comfortable but sometimes simple accommodations. Public areas may be limited but generally provides all the essentials a guest requires.
